Mother Gladys M.(McKenzie) Jones 84,
A woman of great faith entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 5, 2012, with her family by her side. Born in Burgaw, NC; the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Maggie McKenzie. She was employed at Electro Flex Inc. in Bloomfield for 12 years until she retired in 1988. Mother Jones has been known for being a faithful and devoted worker, who tried to help everyone. She was known by her famous saying “God will KEEP you if you want to be kept”.
She is survived by six sons and daughter – in – laws. Lewis and Cenoria Jones, Windsor, CT; Jessie Jones, Windsor, CT; Lloyd and Delba Jones, Kalamazoo, MI; Sampson and Wanda Jones, Bloomfield, CT; David and Angela Jones, Bristol, CT; Oscar Jones, Savanna, Georgia. Four daughters and son – in – laws Shirley and Donald (Deceased)Hudson, Windsor, CT; Victoria and David Mathis, Hampton, GA; Ruth and Edward Robertson, New Britain, CT; Teresa and Kurt Geddis, Worcester, MA.
Left to cherish Mother Gladys Jones’ memories are three sisters, Thelma Eason, Jamaica, NY; Evangelene James, Jamaica, NY; Louise Baker New Port News, VA. There are 32 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
